“We used Big Delicious Planet Catering for our May wedding at Salvage One, and we couldn’t be happier. Everyone we worked with on the BDP team was amazing (Grace for our tasting and contract, and Chelsey for our event coordination) - they are responsive, professional, and accommodating, and fun to work with, and that extends to their employees who provided table service and bartending services the night of. Guests raved about the food and cocktails, and we continue to get compliments on the food and details of the presentation (e.g., fresh honey and little hot sauce bottles for our fried chicken). We’re still talking about the mini desserts table, the chocolate bark is out of this world. On top of the delicious food, they also coordinated seamlessly with our vendors, allowed for us to provide our own alcohol (which is a huge money saver), and provided custom signage and menus at no extra charge. “My husband and I are thrilled that Big Delicious Planet catered our wedding in June. We knew we were going to use BDP from the day we met Grace at The Canteen and noticed first hand how much care this company puts into its food. She gave us a tour of their urban farm and we love that they grow so much produce themselves and we appreciate the focus on local and seasonal food. We decided to go with a “Displayed Heavy Hors D’Oeuvres Buffet” and highly recommend this concept to anyone looked for a contemporary, sophisticated, and relaxed dinner for their wedding. Between the fresh salad, flatbreads, chicken, and the most incredible pasta salad you’ve ever tasted, our guests were full but ready to party! They even made sure we had enough gluten-free and vegan options to work with any guest’s dietary needs. Their passed appetizers were fantastic (you’ve got to try a BLT cherry tomato!), the meat and cheese board was all the glory you’d expect if you follow BDP on Instagram, and we even had BDP make our wedding cake - an Angel Food Cake with whipped cream and fruit compotes that was like sinking your teeth into a cloud. Perfection! This company knows what they’re doing and their event coordinators are professional, quick to respond, fun, and kind. “There is an on-site garden where they grow their own herbs, fruits and vegetables, and the cats help to scare away unwanted critters. They are also woman owned. Awesome!

We were fortunate enough to work with Grace while planning our wedding. She was great! organized, efficient, fun, and totally got my vision. She seemed just as excited as I did about our ideas and details. I appreciated that! Grace also responded to all my emails promptly and patiently.

I am a pastry chef by trade, so I was very passionate about having great food and dessert! BDP crushed it! Our cocktail- style buffet was beautifully displayed and delicious. Everyone, including my chef guests, loved the food. All the signage was a unique element also done by BDP. Everyone we encountered from the Chefs, cooks, bartenders, and servers seemed happy to be a part of our day! It meant a lot. Maybe, I’m a little biased, but I thought our wedding was beautiful! “We had such a wonderful experience working with BDP for our wedding day. From the start, our tasting was so much fun and Grace was so helpful in walking us through what we could have on our wedding day and explaining the process to us. Any questions we had or changes we wanted to make were so promptly answered and completed, we never stressed or worried about our catering. Grace came to our final walkthrough at Greenhouse Loft and helped guide us on choices for the day and made us feel at ease and excited about the choices we had already made.
On the wedding day, they did such an amazing job with decor and setup, even adding little details I had no idea would be there, like taking our pattern from our invitations into signs for the food and guest book table! It looked incredible. Every guest we have spoken to said it was the best wedding food they ever had. We agree! We actually got to eat a little bit of everything at the wedding and it was just as amazing as it was at our tasting! Our food was for sure a highlight of the night for us and our guests.”
